How to install modern Warfare 2 from Steam?

Modern warfare 2 pc question?

  • if you have modern warfare 2 on pc, and if you already installed it on your previous computer, but if you buy a new pc, and deleted your old steam account and removed the modern warfare 2 installation completely from your old pc, and you want to install on your new pc with the same cd key code as the previous one, can you play it or its basically gone forever like you can't play it unless you buy a new modern warfare 2 for pc with the new cd key?

    I had age of mythology installed on my old laptop, i uninstalled it and put it on my new laptop, i used the same cd key code and it worked perfectly fine.
