That's kind of some thing you need to decide for your self. You just get to much biased Bull**** from people other wise. I have a 360 Slim 250 GB system that I got a while ago and it's been great for me. I will say that if you go for the Xbox then you will want more than 4 Gigs of space for stuff. Unless you plan on buying an external HDD and using that which I think you can do now. The PS3 deal sounds pretty good as well depending on how big the HDD is. People will say that the free Online for the PS3 is a big plus but it's really not. I'm a big believer in the you get what you pay for way of thinking and with Xbox Live this really is the case. Good luck with your purchase.

Ps3 definitely Ps3 pros- built in wifi, blue ray, FREE ONLINE, game included, more gb Cons- online just crashed, always the possibility, more laggy online than x box (still great gaming) Xbox pros- great hardware, safe online, overall good system Cons. Pay for online, hard control, pay for online, no blue ray, and you PAY FOR ONLINE

xbox lasts a lot longer than 2 months... my friend dropped her a bunch of times and still good. i love xbox but the PS3 sounds like a pretty good deal

PS3 no questions asked, better graphics VERY durable PSN store is FANTASTIC, internet capabilities, u can use a variety of accessories, tons of differnet equipment and the sound qaulity can even be specified. While the only pro on xbox is the online systems function, but u have to pay for that.

Well I've own my Xbox 360 slim 250gb since it first came out and its still very good. I know ppl with the first generation Xbox 360 that are still running. First of all both systems are not built equally from the factory. It sometimes comes with the luck of the draw that your going to get one that was not perfect. For instant bad soldering job on the system board somewhere. There are going to be different games made 4 the system so it would vary on you. For example Gran Turismo is only for PS3 and Forza is only for Xbox. Some ppl would argue which has better graphics, but in my opinion if varies by game. Considering that Ps3 has MOVE if you plan on getting that and xbox has kinetic. PS3 has capabilities of going online browsing, Blu ray player, and free online usage. As for Xbox you would have to pay to on online for xbox live. Going on live is definitely better on xbox, you get what you seriously pay for. As for PS3 the network is screwy sometimes, like hackers if you never heard the stories. As for your friends see what they have, mine consist of xbox 360, so I would like to game up with them from time to time.

TRUTH

I bought PS3 slim consoles originally to play exclusively movies. I have recently acquired a few games and love the graphics (even though xbox is superior in this area) of the games. The quietness of the machine and the slim design are great too. The only thing I am unimpressed about is the slow startup process.

The xbox 360 Kinect with 4 GB. is what the original arcade version should have been, and is definitely worth its $300 price tag. Some of the features which I really like about this console are 1. New Valhalla chip - hopefully improved design to prevent RRoD issue, but tech. reviews noted that the Jasper chip in the older Elite model runs cooler 2. WiFi N - this is the newest wifi standard that is 12X faster (up to 600 Mbits/ sec) than wifi G; you'll need a Wifi N router to get the max. speed 3. digital optical audio port (if your sound system is separate from your TV, then you'll need this to get full 5.1 surround sound) 4. 4 GB of flash memory (although 1.1 GB is used by the game system, but 0.3 GB can be reclaimed by deleting 4 game demos) 5. 5 USB ports (2 in front & 3 in back) 6. slimmer design with side vents (to prevent overheating) 7. dedicated port for Kinect with demo game (also $50 cheaper than buying Kinect separately from Xbox) 8. only 1 year of warranty (the only negative; older Elite models had 3 yrs.) 9. USB flash drive support (this was a xbox software update released in April 2010) h
