Is the sims 3 ambitions worth getting it?

Why do I keep getting an error message for my Sims 3 Ambitions?

• I downloaded both the Sims 3 and Sims 3 Ambitions onto my new computer today. I have all the requirements and both games were bought at a store, not downloaded. When I start the game launcher, I get a message that says that the base game isn't compatible with the Sims 3 Expansion Pack and that I need to download the new update. However, I've already downloaded it, and every time I go to the update page, it says my game is up to date. Please help? :(

  Try delete the whole game. Reinstall the base game, Sims3, and let the launcher do the updates and all. after all is done, run the game, make sure u can play the game. Next, install the expansion in, see if it works, if same error persist : 1) if base game don't work = CD faulty. 2) if expansion game don't work = CD faulty. Conclusion : Google the problem to find solutions, if yes then try the solution, if No then do as follows below = 1) Make a list of all the different languages of badwords you can get. 2) Make sure you wake up on the wrong side of the bed , and don't brush your teeth making you have bad breath. 3) Take the CDs that don't work back to the store 4) Go to the counter 5) Use the list of badwords on them 6) Complain like you never complain before 7) show them your middle finger 8) make them refund you or make them exchange you a brand new CD If all of the above does not work, Go home, swear and curse and break your computer.
