Anyone who works in an online game company or know how the companies work?

If you apply for a job to an online game company, are you able to work online if their location is in places like California or do you have to go all the way in California to work for their company? I don't really know how this works; that's why I'm asking. Also do they take people who are only really experienced, or do they also teach new employees that don't know much and give them a chance to see if they are able to do what they're looking for in the job? Thanks!

Haha i know for a fact that many 'online gaming' companies are fronts for identity theft. They put out a bogus job offering, suckers apply with all their personal info, them boom.
