  • Answer:

It depends on what game exactly, since not all games on the PC are dedicated to the PC platform, therefore they don't have all the things that would make them "better". A game like Skyrim is a great example. On the PC you mainly get two things: 1. Better Graphics (and also heavily customizable, field of view etc.) 2. Free Downloadable Modifications (think of it as free DLC created by other players) With graphics, it's pretty self-explanatory. You get better looking games. This may vary from game to game, but in general, PC versions of video games look better than their Console counterparts. With Modifications (commonly called Mods), any game that has a GAME EDITOR, like Skyrim's Creation Kit, allows for almost ENDLESS expansion of a game, since they are probably the EXACT same tools the developers use to CREATE THE ACTUAL GAME in the first place. For Skyrim, check out this PC modding site: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ You don't get any of that extra content on consoles. Also, another massive selling point is that PC Download-based stores are very convenient. A great example is Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/ If you check out the store during holidays like Christmas, they are always running Sales and the games sell for EXTREMELY LOW PRICES. Their sales are sometimes creative as well, like for 2011 Christmas, they had a little thing in the store where if you buy and play games and get achievements, you might earn special items that you could trade in for more games, or items in games like Team Fortress 2 (limited edition items etc.) I bought the entire Assassin's Creed series for the PC for about the price of one PS3 game when it was on sale in Steam. Check this out for some quick Steam Info: http://www.geekosystem.com/full-steam-ahead/ HOWEVER, the main reason there are so many console gamers is that Gaming PCs tend to be quite expensive, especially when you buy it pre-assembled, which usually cost over 2x as much as they actually should. If you know how to assemble a PC, you could build a PC stronger than a console for $600-1000 USD, and if not, you'll end up spending more than $2000 for a PC that might be slightly faster than a console, or 2-10x faster. (My wording might get confusing) Also, another HUGE issue and something that turns people off is that PC games aren't exactly ported over from console games 100% successfully sometimes when they are console port games (aka they are designed for the console and they adapt it for the PC instead of making it completely seperate), so you might get frequent errors or bugs/glitches in poorly made games. Now my negative points are more about the platform itself (PC), but really in a nutshell ignoring all the random crap I just said, PC games are better in every-way 90% of the time.

Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 all have the same hardware - imagine that everyone who has a computer has the same processor, RAM, graphics card, etc. This is not the case in the PC world. In the PC world the software is designed to work under varied conditions so anyone who has the minimum specs can run the game, which will look similar to (or possibly worse than) the 360/PS3 versions. On the other hand if you have a top of the line PC, that hardware can be utilized to create amazing visuals. In many cases the top end settings on a PC game surpass the current technology, which is why games like Crysis can look even more amazing as new hardware comes out. As for shooting in FPS titles, you use the keyboard for functions (walking, swapping guns, etc) and the mouse for aiming (moves the reticle, fires the gun, etc.) If you see this as a problem, you can purchase PC controllers and use them instead, like a PS3/360 setup, and any wired Xbox 360 controller will work on any Windows PC.

they can run better because computers can get faster than consoles.

Mods, console cheats, easier to control and better grapichs

keep in mind this is your own opinion i think the pc is much harder to get used to and you need a good computer for games to run smoothly. so i think console games are better but this is my opinion
