How do I convince my parents to get digital TV?

How can I convince my parents to let me get Black Ops?

  • OK, here goes. I'm 13 1/2 years old, and do really well in school (I'm a High Honors student and an Outstanding Student award). I have a Wii (I know, :P) and I want to get Black Ops for it. Thing is, my parents are really strict. I've never seen an R-rated movie, and even though I had "the talk" back in 5th grade, every time I'm watching TV with my parents and anyone even says the word sex or something, my mom changes the channel. Also, they are so over protective that they read my texts and won't let me delete them. I have a couple of T rated games but not any M ones. So, how do you think I can convince my parents to let me get Black Ops?

  • Answer:

Dude just stop listening to your parents. Reading your texts, sex being a bad word what kind of bullshit is that? Death to all tyrants!

To tell you the truth, 13 is a little young but that doesn't really matter. You'll see all this gore, shooting, and violence sooner or later. Why not now? It won't turn you into a psychopath! Have a serious "talk" with your parents about your maturity and how you will play. Tell them it's only a game. But keep in mind that COD has many rude children playing (you don't seem like that at all) and there will be many curse words so mute them haha. Talking with your parents is the only reasonable solution. If they disagree. Become a rebel. Start a revolution! Seriously. Don't listen. Keep your room messy. (Keep your grades up because low ones won't help lol) Then MAYBE, just maybe they will let you get the game. Just mention that you already know about all that stuff: sex, drugs, violence. Tell them you become a evil person lol (you won't). Sorry for the long answer, but I hate to see someone being treated as less of a person and can't have real fun.

Just tell them u want to play zombies . zombies are not real and are fake and if u want to convince them about playing the multiplayer there is an option to put it where there is no blood. literally there is an option for no blood

Just tell them that you mature enough and they need to give you some respect and more responsibility's, and also ask them for a way to prove your responsible enough to play games that are R-rated, Hope this helped

Dude im a 15 year old girl and my mom got it for me for christmas lol. i love COD. Just tell them if they really trust you about knowing whats right and wrong in life that you should be able to play a game with killing in it. Tell them that in the game you have to think and use strategy so its kind of like learning. and if they don't get it for you ask a friend to get it for you as a present for your birthday or something like that.

Offer your parents a deal like if my grades slip you can take it away. For the strictness thing I suggest talking to your parents about giving you some freedom starting with this. Also you may want to offer for them to watch YouTube videos of it or even watch you play it to see if it is to bad for you.
