Is there a difference between Polyester fleece and Cotton Fleece?

    You can use either for a hoodie. Cotton fleece is also known as sweatshirt fleece and is the kind of fabric that sweatshirts and sweat pants are usually made out of. Polyester fleece is a Polarfleece knock-off and is warm and soft and generally works just as well for fashion applications. Cotton takes longer to dry, but holds up better in the dryer. Polyester fleece should be washed with other like fabrics inside out or it will pill. My only comment is that it can be very difficult to find 100% cotton fleece! And when you do, it can be expensive. So if you just want a nice soft hoodie, you'll find more selection and a much better price for polyester fleece. Good luck.

Polyester is a material made from plastic, and cotton is a natural plant. The former has a shinier texture to it - I'm not saying it's shiny, but it feels like it. Cotton is a bit...i don't know, cottonier? My mom used to own a craft store, so I know the differences between cotton and poly, but I don't know which is better for a hoodie. Sorry.
