Rheumatiod arthritis is an auto immune disease where the body destroys its own cartilage. Massage won't cure that either. Massage may help with pain but if its done incorrectly or too vigorously, could easily cause more pain and damage.

Ditto what the others said. Massage is for muscles, but arthritis is not a muscular problem. My clients report that they do feel generally better after a massage, but it doesn't do anything for arthritis and could actually increase their pain if done incorrectly/insensitively.
