How to tell if a turkey is done?

I need opinions about stopping a pain med cold turkey?

  • i cant get my pain management doctor to change me off fentanyl 50mcg. he has had me on them for 5 months, and when i asked him the day before yesterday to give me something weaker that i can wean myself off of, he wouldnt do it and gave me the same prescription. i believe he is doing this to keep me coming back to him. well i have had it. im just going cold turkey! ive done it with lortab many times, and methadone once. i say to anyone, that if you can get off of methadone cold turkey, you should be able to do anything. i have xanax (which i am prescribed to legally), and phenergan also prescribed to me legally. can anyone think of anything else that would make going cold turkey any easier? if so please let me know! i dont want any advice that would be illegal! i would really appreciate advice from someone who has done it successfully already, because people in the medical field think that they can tell you what you need to do from their books, but unless they have been there themselves, they dont know anything! thanks everybody!

    You could always go to another doctor who will give you something weaker or help you detox. You could also find a Suboxone doctor who will switch you to Suboxone and detox you using that over a few weeks to a few months.
