How to write a thank you note?

  • Hey all, I'm looking for ideas as to how to write a thank you note for somebody who helped you achieve something. 1. Say, if someone wrote you a letter of recommendation for a job that you got, and you wanted to show your gratitude for what they did. How would you put that into words? 2. What about if someone gave you great advice? How would you thank them for that? Thanks all in advance for your suggestions :)

    a thank you note card is available at any grocery or drug store. some say something some are blank. either way a note on the blank side. dear smith, Just a short note to thank you for going out of your way to help me. (or think of me etc) I appreciate your thoughtfulness. or you can send flowers. the florist usually have a list of thank you thoughts you can barrow from it does not have to be long or fancy , just heart felt.

This all depends on you're relationship with the recipient, whether it be formal/friendship/professional/family this contribues a lot. First address them, their name obviously. Then start of with a thank you and thank them for what they did, they address how it helped you. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. To end on a thank you, also shows a lot of gratitude, two thank you are better than one, then politely wish them a nice day, etc.
