Are blackberry's a good brand of phone?

What's the best way to handle a situation where your aunt knocks your BRAND new phone out your hand &...?

  • It breaks & becomes non-functional? Yesterday, 1 of my friends received a BRAND new Blackberry Curve phone to use solely for job purposes (she didn't have to pay for this). She was trying to familiarize herself with the phone, & her aunt got angry & knocked the phone out of her hand, under the wrongful assumption that she was going to take pictures. The SIM card fell out, too & shattered into pieces. My friend is 30. I'm 26. She's very angry & sad about it because now, she has to buy another 1 & pay out of pocket. Her aunt lied & said she (my friend) took pictures & threw the phone, which didn't happen. I was there. My friend said she doesn't even know how to operate the phone that well, to do that. & she was just trying to become familiarized with the phone & its features. How can I comfort my friend & help her? She got angry & beat her aunt up for doing all that to her & her aunt hit her 1st , & it was hard to calm her down. Now, she feels bad because she injured a family member. But now, she's like, "Was it worth it to beat up my aunt over a phone, even though it was over $400?" She got this @ no charge through her job, & now she has to pay for another 1. & it's gonna cost her unnecessary $$.

Snowie's right. She should not have beat up her aunt, but she should file criminal assault charges against her aunt, then go to small claims court and file suit against her for the cost of her phone. You can help her by being her witness. She should also tell her job what happened; they might want to file the suit themselves since the phone was their property and she intentionally destroyed it.
