How should I dress for an interview as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic?

  • How should I dress for an interview as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic? I will be flying out for an interview with Lockheed Martin next week but am unsure what to wear. My girlfriend says I should wear dress pants and a dress shirt, but from what I understand the interview is going to be at least 5 hours long, and they are expecting me to do some work and show them what I can do in the field. Since they want me to do actual work would nice jeans and a good shirt be acceptable? Also, I do have a goatee--would it be better to shave it off or leave it? This is my first real interview out of school, so any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
