What should I do if I got into a fight with the bar tender without knowing it was him?

  • The most awkward thing happened to me at the bar. I am a regular at this one bar and I just happened to be drinking feeling buzzed and the bar tender waited on me and kind of talked to me a little bit but about a half hour later, I went to the bathroom and this dude was in my way and I said rudely: “MOVE OUT OF MY DAMN WAY, WILL YOU!” and I shoved him because I thought it was some jackass who looked like a punk and the guy looked at me mean and I was so embarrassed because it happened to be the bar tender in the bathroom and he looked at me in anger like I was being rude and I said: “OOPS OH HEY! Sorry, didn’t know it was you!” because it happened to be the bar tender that I said that to without knowing it was him because he had his back turned and he grabbed my shirt and said: “SAY THAT TO ME AGAIN, WHY DON’T YOU, A*SHOLE?! WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM?” And I said: “I’m sorry, my bad.” And he was fighting with me in the bathroom and as soon as I walked out of the bathroom, I was afraid to go sit back in my spot because it was so awkward that he was my bar tender serving me and I had to pay for my check anyway so when I sat down, he gave me a very dirty look and said: “YOU THINK YOU ARE A TOUGH GUY, HUH?! WHY DON’T YOU GET OUT!” And I said: “Like I said, I apologize. I thought you were some douchebag in my way” It was really awkward and the people who are regulars there even gave me a weird look and my reputation is ruined. What should I do about this ruined reputation at this bar? I am going to see that bar tender again and people I was rude to!!! I need to know what to do.

    VERY AWKWARD, and what are you doing pushing people anyway? Guess you learned a lesson! i would probably pick a different bar to go to! lol ;)

Don't be an idiot and assume you can talk to people the way you please. Either get over it and go again and if the Guy is still mad deal with it cause obviously if you were brave enough to talk to someone like that then you can deal with it. If not go to a new bar and reconsider how you approach people.

You do not have a leg to stand on...you were CLEARLY a jerk for NO good reason, as you shoved the guy WITH NO PROVOCATION...and you are lucky he didn't split your lip with his fist, and make you leave the bar right away. What you should do about this ruined reputation you have culled at this particular bar is LEARN YOUR LESSON, quit being a jerk when you drink, and find another watering hole. I suggest you let some time pass before even THINKING about setting foot in there, if I even went there, EVER again.
