Is God Omnipotent? If so?

If God is omnipotent then.....?

  • If God is omnipotent and if God knows all,... Why would God create Satan Knowing that He would be betrayed by him? Either God doesn't know all and is not Omnipotent... or God wanted Satan to betray him.. So the Betrayal was all part of Gods divine plan.. So if that's the case then why would God punish Satan for doing what he created him to do in the first place? Similarly if Jesus was sent to earth to die for our sins, Why was Judas punished for betraying Jesus and leading to his death?.. Judas was helping Jesus carry out his purpose in Dying for the sins of man. For me I tend to believe that "IF" there is a Creator than the reason for suffering is either to do with some kind of growth or transformation, through pain and struggles.. Kind of like forging a sword in fire. Or there is the possibility that suffering is here for entertainment.. meaning like in a movies there is conflict because that makes for an interesting movie.. if everyone got along and everything was perfect there would be no story and people would not be interested.. and "IF" people are some sort of spirit and this life is only one aspect of our existence that would make even the worst of crimes such as murder and rape little more than a murder in a movie.. since you real essence is never destroyed. You are simply reborn or as Christians believe you are sent to God which is like sending someone to Disneyland against their will..

  • Answer:

The Omnipotence/Omniscience/Benevolence paradox, only a truly sadistic being would not raise his hand to end suffering when it is in his power to do so. I would never let someone weaker, stupider, younger, more vulnerable than I suffer if I could stop it (or someone stronger for that matter).

That's because mankind makes god job real hard and if you do your own investigation and research you find that god and their definition of god does not fit the description of god. Religious people would like to make god a noun, meaning they try to make home a person, a place, or a thing and that doesn't fit the definition of a omnipotent being or the definition of the Almighty! I'm glad to see you are starting to wake up out of the spell.
