Muslims don't celebrate Christmas.. Christians don't celebrate Ramadan, However, atheists celebrate Christmas?
-
I don't get it! i have muslim friends and they don't celebrate christmas because they tell me that Christmas is a Christian celebration, and they as muslims don't have anything to do with such celebration. A muslim told me the following Christmas=birth of Jesus.....muslims don't believe Jesus is God, but a prophet....celebrating x-mas would be celebrating Jesus as God and that is completely haram and associating anyone with God but Allah is a grave sin. I have Christian friends and they don't celebrate Ramadan because they consider such celebration to be related to Muslims. However, i also know people who are atheists and they celebrate Christmas, why is that????? I mean an atheist celebrating Christmas is a silly as a Christian celebrating Ramadan hehe.

Since when do I celebrate Christmas? Also, christians took the holiday from the pagans. Happy Saturnalia!
All my moslem friends celebrate Christmas. Admittedly they don't celebrate the religious aspect of it, but then again, who does? In the UK, very, very few people see it is primarily a religious holiday as opposed to a time for families to get together. And I also get together with my family at Christmas time. We avoid all religious aspects of Christmas but still manage to have a great time. Is there anything wrong in that?
It's just a nice holiday to have. I don't pray. I never have. I never will. I like the family time. i like the awesome food. I like going back to my hometown and seeing my old friends and other people. I take no part in anything christian about it. ps 25th december is a Pagan festival. Pagans were celebrating the 25th december LONG, LONG before christians were. So why don't christians celebrate the pagan aspect? Because they don't believe in it. That's the same reason I don't celebrate the christian aspect of it.
