Is it safe to do jailbreaking with spirit by myself?

Quick question about Spirit (jailbreaking program)?

  • So I'm brand new to this stuff about jailbreaking because I just jailbroke last night but as I was reading through Spirit forums, people were saying how you need to save your SHSH blobs BEFORE jailbreaking. I was not aware of this and was wondering if it was too late to save them or if I need to restore my iPod (8gb 3rd gen 3.1.3 software if that matters at all) then save the blobs rejailbreak with Spirit? I really need to know so I don't worry. Thx :)

Whoever you read that from clearly knows nothing about jailbreaking. To save your SHSH blobs you go to Cydia, an app only availible AFTER a jailbreak, and tap the make my life easier button. If you see no button like that, check the top of cydias home page and see if it says This device has SHSH's on store for Iphone/iOS 4.0. Yes you cant save your 3.1.3 blobs anymore, because apple stopped signing them :( Theres no way u could fix that.
