How do you start a youth group in AZ?

How can I change the way my youth group is? It is all full of cliques.?

  • And because its all full of cliques, the new ppl are always alone.......I try being friends with these new people, but its hard, I have no trouble making friends but If the entire youth group dont start acting soon, all these ppl will leave and possibly never come to know God AND the Holy Spirit will not come and change ppl. I really like the youth Pastor and his messages, but everytime im about to go in, I feel like the day is yet but another failure at trying to get involved but no one really cares... But I thank God for the minority who do care, they are amazing and they DO care about you...you can see their love for you. But again people, if the youth group is not united, how do we expect it to grow and reach more souls for God?

  • Answer:

You cannot bust cliques. People naturally gravitate to people they have similar interests and likenesses with. It is normal. These small groups can become exclusive. That is too bad, but that too is natural. If a group too large it would splinter off and create a new one anyway. The only hope is to use groups for good. This demands that the groups agree to something bigger than their subgroup and then they can work together with other subgroups on something bigger than themselves. Start your own group for those who don't feel apart of any of the other groups.

make yourself vulnerable, and tell people more about yourself and ask lots of questions about them. Show your interested in them. Don't become cliquey yourself and become friends with as many people as people there as possible. once you have enough friends when you go in others will come to you and you can start to really introduce people to other people they don't talk to. You have to know alot about the peop. around you so you can tell people what they have in common with others. I know this is a mess but try to decipher it and it should help.

man kind is neither of child-ren vs child-ren sides wars even "children of the kingdom" get "cast out": Mt 8:12 Christ is the head of every "man", not of child-ren Blessed the "man" to whom no sin is imputed A "man" puts away child-ish things: 1Cor 13 God said: let us make "man" (not child-ren) "life eternal" R in Mt 25:46's L/R division is neither "unity of Spirit" nor "eternal life"

Well I think we will all form our own "cliques" in youth groups, the one im in sort of has that problem sort of not just because when we are at this camp that we call youth camp (its just our youth group camping) we all get closer to each other and tend to not really form cliques there, but then our youth leader says we sort of have a problem with letting new people in so don't worry your youth group isn't the only one. Everyone there seeks God or tries to. But just pray about it or tell your youth leader\pastor about how you feel and how strongly you feel about God. Hope this helped! Your youth group will be in my prayers! :)

clicks are everywhere, it is unfortunate it is even in churches:-( but with your particular Q and circumstance, perhaps it could be fixed....activitities that include ALL, interaction of everyone, and a reminder of the importance to Love and treat ALL with compassion, respect, and of course love...how would it feel to be "left out" and what it does to someone??? yes they will leave if they do not feel accepted. we all know Jesus was not accepted but He did not leave, but He NEVER turned from the sick, the poor etc...He helped/healed them.....a simple "smile/hello is priceless, engage in conversation, spread yourselves around, take the time to get to know them...Peace/Love God Bless
