What Can I Do To Increase My Risk of Death?
-
You are probably wondering why I want to die. I am a Christian and I believe that if I die I will go to heaven and live forever in the house of the Lord. Suicide is a sin, so I can't do that, but nothing in the Bible says I can't increase my risk of death to help my chances of going to heaven. So what sorts of things can I do? Binge drinking or taking lots of drugs is out, since that's a sin.

don't play games with god's rules what if later you discover that planing your own death was also a sin lol on your question one more thing i wanna add i.e killing your self with knife is spontaneous and killing yourself due to bad eating habbits (willingly) will be a slow killing but still killing

The time of death... has been predestined by God... so, it is not in our hands... I think, until then our human purposes wouldn't be completed, we can't reach to God.. Therefore, in this life.. always make an effort to live in God consciousness...

I can hardly agree with your suggestion that "nothing in the Bible says I can't increase my risk of death to help my chances of going to heaven." Whatever happened to the notion that your body is a temple? You seem determined to take the term "suicide" in its most literal sense. So if you put a gun to your head, that is a sin which denies you redemption and admission to heaven, but if you provoke someone else into putting the same gun to your head, that is permissible and indeed commendable? I urge you to reconsider what you are suggesting. Do you think your death will have no impact on the people around you? Even if you go as a missionary to North Korea, that will involve you with networks of people who will be risking their own lives by trying to smuggle you into that country. If you are caught and killed, will they merely right if off as the daily news, or will they mourn that someone who had the courage to try to take the gospel into a forbidden land has died? Or consider an even worse scenario: what if you go to Asia, and as you are trying to make your way over the Yalu River into North Korea with the help of local guides, a North Korean military patrol spots you and your guides and opens fire, missing you but killing your guide? Can you completely absolve yourself of his death by contending that you were trying to get yourself killed. And if instead of being killed, you are captured? Will the American government merely ignore you on the grounds that you wanted to kill yourself, or will it try to negotiate for your release? And at what cost? And what impact will your attempt to get yourself killed have on the North Koreans? Will they right you off as an American they cannot understand, or will they take retaliatory measures against their own people who they might suspect of complicity with your actions? Additionally, what does your attitude say about God? You seem to believe that God put you on this earth for no other purpose than to kill yourself. If your interpretation of God's plan is correct, does it apply to everyone else who has become a Christian? Should every Christian be trying to die? What about those who have young children? Should they abandon their children in order to get to heaven right away? Should they take their children with them? In short, I think this is a very bad idea, one profoundly inconsistent with the core values of Christianity.
