Why is America the fattest nation?

Did you know that America is a Christian nation?

  • The United States was founded as a Christian theocracy (YES a theocracy, deal with it, not a theocracy in the sense that people use it today). Americans in that time saw the church like a walled garden in a wilderness, the government. If the wall was taken down, the wilderness would intrude into the garden and they would no longer be distinguishable. The wall had to stay up, but the garden is still in the wilderness. So basically, the Founders did not want the church to be corrupted by the government. But God is still in the government. "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ!" -Patrick Henry Did you know that the Supreme Court said that America is officially a Christian nation in 1892? See http://isamericaachristiannation.org/ In 1783, the US and Britain ended the war with the Paris Peace Treaty. The treaty was written by John Adams, John Jay, and Ben Franklin. Its very first words are: "In the name of the most holy and undivided Trinity. It having pleased the Divine Providence to dispose the hearts..." In 1777, Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase Bibles which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared, “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools." The Christian doctrine of the sovereignty of God and the Crown Rights of Jesus Christ was prevalent in the minds of many patriots preceding and during the American Revolution in their struggle against King George III. The men of Marlborough, MA unanimously proclaimed in January 1773 that "Death is more eligible than slavery. A free-born people are not required by the religion of Jesus Christ to submit to tyranny...(we) implore the Ruler above the skies, that He would make bare His arm in defense of His Church and people, and let Israel go." Not only from pulpit and town hall came the cries for liberty, but now the average colonist blended his voice in support of total independence from King George. Most Crown-appointed governors remained loyal to their king. One wrote to the Board of Trade in England saying: "If you ask an American, who is his master? He will tell you he has none, nor any governor but Jesus Christ." This may have been the incident which gave rise to the cry which was carried by the messengers of the newly formed Committee for Intercolonial Correspondence: "NO KING BUT KING JESUS" On April 18, 1775 John Adams and John Hancock were at the home of Rev. Jonas Clarke, a Lexington pastor and militia leader. That same night Paul Revere arrived to warn them of the approaching Redcoats. The next morning British Major Pitcairn shouted to an assembled regiment of Minutemen; "Disperse, ye villains, lay down your arms in the name of George the Sovereign King of England." The immediate response of Rev. Jonas Clarke or one of his company was: "We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus." In this crucial hour of our nation’s history it is past time that the true saints of God give total allegiance to the Kingship of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. The crisis of the ages demands that we renew the historic battle-cry of our Christian Forefathers – "WE HAVE NO KING BUT KING JESUS!" America was ALREADY a Christian nation when the Constitution was written. If the Founders had intended to create a secular nation, their Constitution would have been utterly rejected. BEFORE ANYONE STARTS QUOTING THE TREATY OF TRIPOLI, see this: http://vftonline.org/EndTheWall/tripoli.htm Also see http://www.faithofourfathers.net/ http://www.truthinhistory.org/no-king-but-jesus-2.html "Remove not the ancient landmarks which thy fathers have set." -Proverbs 22:28 Don't like it? That's tough. @Ha ha ha! - Strange, isn't it, how we're getting worse as we move farther and farther away from our founding Christian values? @No Chance Without a Scythe - You didn't even read it or look at the links provided, did you? They talk about the beliefs of the Founding Fathers and the Treaty of Tripoli quote. Also, most of that is not copy and paste. @The Godfather's Daughter - Camps for Americans are ALREADY being built. As we move farther from our Christian values, things are just getting worse. We wouldn't do any of that. Like I said, America was founded as a Christian theocracy already. Christianity is what gave you people the freedom to be atheist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc. Try being a non-Muslim in a Muslim country sometime.

If America is a Christian nation, it sure is doing a lousy job. EDIT: That's a gross oversimplification of the issues. I'm sure you're aware of that.
