What are some good websites to buy chemicals?

Where can I buy natural gemstones that aren't artificially enhanced?

  • I'm trying to find some good shops (around San Bernardino or Los Angeles) or websites where i can purchase authentic gemstones like turquoise, amethyst, quartz crystals, etc. Ones that aren't humanly altered with chemicals. I'm looking to use them for jewelry. Also, it's sometimes hard to tell which gems are real or fake, so I would prefer to buy from shops that are honest in what they sell. Thanks.

    I recently found several Gemstones that were not artificially enhanced on the diamondwave website. I didn't find any loose gemstones. All Gemstones were set in pendants, rings and earrings. I did find the pricing very fair and very honest information about everything they sell.

It's very difficult to find out if the minerals were enhanced, be it chemically or thermally (like changing poor quality amethyst into "citrine"). Depending on the quantities you need - it's the best to deal with wholesale outfits from the country that actively mines it (go for amethyst to Uruguay or Brazil, etc.). Of course it doesn't mean you have to physically go to that country, just find a reliable wholesaler.
