Can you help me in my research paper?

I need to write a research paper and my topic is Yellowstone National Park, can you please help me?

  • I chose Yellowstone National Park. I'm not supposed to write about the tourism aspects of Yellowstone. I'm strictly supposed to write about the geology. Here are the general guidelines: 1. Issues to cover in research paper: a. Geologic setting i. Mountains ii. Desert iii. Coastal iv. Continental interior b. Geologic features that characterize park c. Describe and define the geologic process that shaped those features d. Identify the dominant rock type(s) that characterize the park 2. Conclusions, observations, and impressions of national park you wrote on. 3. Must include at least 5 cited references within the paper along with a list of references at end of paper a. References can be i. Internet sources ii. Books iii. Magazines iv. Your own experiences v. Other appropriate source (see me if you are unsure) I have two books for the 5 references. So I'm going to need 3 good websites as well. And about the paper too, PLEASE HELP ME!! :( I got other work to do in these few days. I need to start this paper and finish it soon. Thanks!!!

There's some good info on the National Park Serve website, if you dig a little: http://www.nps.gov/yell/naturescience/geology.htm YellowstoneNationalPark.com is also pretty decent. It covers a wide range of geological topics and it goes into pretty good detail. http://www.yellowstonenationalpark.com/ You might also find some useful info on the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory page on the US Geological Service website. http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/yvo/activity/monitoring/

of course you have googled yellowstone. there are enough resources to drive you crazy. Your list is extensive. It will be a long research paper. Rock types: why is it called yellow-stone? Geologicfsetting: Yellowstone is impart a caldera but other parts are outside of the caldera. Take a look at visitingparks.com/TourNorthernRockies.ht… to get some ideas and there are videos and maps that you may be able to use.
