  • Help im so nervous!!!!!How to prepare for Calculus 1 in college? A lot of my friends have taken calculus their senior year besides me. I would like to go into the major if biomedical engineering. I took honor pre cal and matained a high B(88) in that class. I payed attention, did all my homework, and tried to do the best I can to learn as much as I can in that class. I'm so nervous because everyone been saying how hard calculus is and how I should of taken it in high school my senior year. I plan on taking calculus at a community college and im worried because a lot of people said that many of the professor cant speak english well. Does Pre-cal prepare you for calculus? How hard is calculus? How long is a calculus college class? Should I take a class to prepare me for calculus? Please help me?!

Hi Justin, Relax, you are in luck. (Happy St. Patty's Day ;) There is a great free website that covers all the calculus you need (and other subjects too if you are interested) and breaks it up into videos that are short topical concept chunks. You can go there now and practice all you would like, and even get ahead of your college calculus class by learning calculus there. It's like having your own private tutor. http://www.khanacademy.org Good Luck!

Revise hard and go to revision sessions if available. Do mind maps, flash cards, highlighting notes and writing down what you read. Do practice question and papers. Good luck :)
