WIERD BUT P8.00 IS WORTH20 cents

Yes, I think there is something wrong with this problem. I tried to solve this problem several ways to which the results did not equal to 3 more 60cent coins than 15cent coins. This is what I did: 1. ($8/ 0.60) = 13.33 (this is approx. the # of 60cent coins that would make $8) 2. (13.33 - 3) = 10.33 (since there is 3 more 60cent coins that 15cent coins) 3. (10.33 x 0.60 = $6.20) 4. $8 - $6.20 = $1.80 5. $1.80/ 0.15 = 12 coins See, there is always going to be more 15cent coins than 60cent coins b/c one 60cent coin is already four 15cent coins. I tried my best. Please follow up with the results if there is one. Best of LUCK!!

I think something is wrong with the problem too. You'd need at least one number of stamps to solve it.

I don't know if I'm going to get this right because it's awkwardly written. I interpret it to mean. let the number of 15c stamps be x (2x + 3)*.60 + .15x = 8.00 (what's the P) 1.2x + 1.8 + .15x = 8 1.35x + 1.8 =8 1.35x = 8 - 1.8 1.35x = 6.2 x = 4.6 which makes not sense. If you check the problem could you edit it if there is an error. I'll check back.
