Possible Controversial Science Topics?

What are some topics in applied math which related to computer science?

  • My dilemma is this: I'm looking for a masters degree thesis topic in mathematics. I have a degree in computer science and work as a software engineer and would like to work on a math thesis which applies as much as possible or has as much to do with computer science as possible. So far I have come across only three topics but I am sure there are others: Signal processing (with wavelet analysis, fourier analysis) Coding theory (involves abstract algebra, finite fields) something in information theory? Cryptography (again elliptic curves, abstract algebra) I'd appreciate any similar suggestions to the ones above! Thank you

Hi: how about electronics , cybernetics ( study of switches. and advance algebra) , computer design ( Information flow, programming, operating system design ) simulation ( computer graphics, computer model of things and events) Robotics ( artificial Intelligent , cellular computing, machine learning, ) for more info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_science I hope this helps
