I love movies and love art now what careers are in the movies dealing with art ?

Im really at a loss. Im moving to cali after school and i have know idea what i need to do or what my options are. I have looked online it doesn't tell me much. so far I have been studying painting, drawing, photography and soon sculpture and ceramics but I really want to do something with movies. I thought about makeup artist but my school does not offer anything like that.and Im not sure if thats what I really want to do. help me please! im especially interested in fantasy movies for example lord of the ring ect..

building movie sets. my sister's boyfriend builds and paints things for movies. ie-making a cave REALLY look like a cave. you have to have connections to get those kind of jobs, though.
