Where to get a Fuzzy Video Camera effect?

How do you get a 70s/80s video effect?

  • Hello there, I am a great fan of the old videos of the 70s and 80s, and I would like to reproduce the effect with my own digital camera. To get a picture of the effect I am looking for, just look at the following video (especially the first few minutes): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4306i99LMXo Yes, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes are awesome....but moving on. This is the camera that I have: http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/photography/camcorders/sd-camcorders/SMX-F44BP/XSH/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl= Yes, I know it's cheap, but it's what I've got. So does anyone have any advice on how to get that "Polaroid-ish" look (without actually buying a vintage camera and film)? One more thing, I don't have any money to spend on fancy editing tools, so any and all post production editing would be done on free video editing software (sorry, I'm very cheap). Serious answers only please, Thanks
