How do I burn a movie that will work in my dvd player?

How do you copy a DVD movie?

  • If this is a dumb question, its because I am sort of a neotype to DVD video burning. My grandfather has asked me to copy a DVD movie, but when I burn it, it will not work on his DVD player. How can you copy a DVD video disc that works on any DVD player with no software (or freeware, as in no trial,registration, and all those other catches)? I need this as soon as possible.
