How do you submit a movie script?

Do actors read the whole movie script?

  • So i was wondering, when a movie comes out the and actor gets interviewed, theyre like "I read the script and i loved it" or something along the lines. But I really dont see how they have the time to read the whole movie script, from every line from every person. I know its always exceptions, but for the most part do they read the whole script, because if they did wouldnt that take an enormous amount of time, reading from movie script to movie script

A screenplay in English usually means every page equals one minute on screen. So if a movie is about 100 minutes(1 hour 40 minutes) long, the screenplay is about 100 pages long. 100 pages worth of reading doesn't take very long to read........unless you have problems reading.

Of course it takes a lot of time, and that is why they get paid the big bux!!... I have done my share in that department, if you do not read the whole script, you dont know when your like will be, when the other persons line will be. What kind of facial expressions or feeling to express... You dont only read the script, you memorize it as well.

It's part of their jobs to read the scripts. But first their agents weed through them.

You mean before they decide to do the movie? Their agent most likely reads it and gives them a summary and then they skim it. Just my guess.

I would think some do and some dont probably just do it because its a paycheck for them
