Those movies are over hyped!?

just because they are over hyped doesn't mean they aren't great films. The Lord of the Rings was everywhere, and it got the Oscar it deserved. Dark Knight was an excellent movie(if anything Ledger's performance was overrated). I know you like to watch Independent movies, and tell people the movies they find good are "hollywood crap", but it makes you sound like an artsy fartsy, hipster douche. Hollywood makes a lot of crap, but it also turns out the finest films in the world, not every "great movie" is shot in black and white 8mm.

Avatar sucks major **** and indies are cool,

The dark knight was good except for about 30 minutes in the middle that could've easily been cut, but yes, quite overhyped. Haven't seen avatar yet, but about 15 people I know and somewhat trust(on movie reviews) all said it was awesome , plus it's the new age of technology, so it probably deserves that hype.

I love indie films! I personally think they are better than most of the stuff Hollywood is coming out with, indie films tend to be original whereas most of the hollywood films now adays are remakes. I also didnt' see what the big deal about Avatar was, its basically a 3 hour Ferngully. As for Dark Knight I think the only reason so many people are obsessed with it is because Heath Ledger, if he was still alive people wouldn't be as obsessed.

They don't have to be hollywood to be over hyped.Napoleon Dynamite: over hyped sucked big time. Titanic,American beauty, Episode III Revenge of The Sith and 300. I think Avatar is worthy of the hype as it uses new special effects that haven't been used before.

Yes they are overhyped..i personaly prefer English humour..i love small independant films too and french comedy..there are some real gems out there that don't get the recognition they deserve..I'm glad i live outside the square..afcourse i have my hollywood faves but it doesn't end there for me XD

i'm an indie film lover and I agree... there is no deep meaning to it and most of the movies are just copying either historical stories or older versions of the movie. .... I guess why so much work has to be done to "over hype" these old-news of movies.... while the new ideas and creative arts of indie films are being made underground... it sucks but that is what I'm seeing... unfortunately. :) btw, where can I get a hold of more indie films? thanks...
