How do i get into the film industry?

  • I am 20 years old. i spent about 7 months in film school but had to return to california because of some family issues. now, im trying my hardest to get into the film industry because its my passion but it seems to hard. i have applied for internships everywhere but no luck...how would i get my foot in the door...any pointers??

    My uncle always used to sit in his rocking chair with a cigar between his teeth and grumble... "You gotta know someone in the business son! You gotta KNOW SOMEONE!" So my advice, get a job in social services in Hollywood... You never know who you'll meet. However, if you think your skills are enough, maybe you should just continue developing a folio of work. Helps with Internships!
