What does it take to skip a grade in school?

How to move to a different school and move up a grade?

  • Ok so heres the deal: Im in 7th grade and My school is one of the top of america, I'm in a magnet. It is really stressfull. I could tell you about it but I don't want to bore you. My mom suggested switching to a school nearby that is also good but less stressful, and I didnt want to until now. I just had a weird realization that I want to, but I want to skip a grade, so I would enter 8th grade for the second semester, because more of my friends are in eight and if I did 7 it would be a repeat of math, science, Tv studios and world studies all over again. But, I wouldn't do the 7th grade magnet that my mom wanted me to do, I would just be a normal 8th grader. How can I ask them: 1) to switch right now and 2) to skip a grade and do what I said above? I worried she might think its crazy and she would say no. Please, This program is really stressfull and I don't know how much more I can take. Please help! Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

  • Answer:

change schools... stress is a bad thing... however,,, skipping a grade just because of those few subjects is a silly idea, as you will be missing out on a years worth of all the other things!!! Hope this helps!
