How do I make friends at a new High School durring freshman year?

i was put in THE SAME situation in freshman year! but hey, let me tell you it was NOT bad at all! Just go in, as a teacher ANY teacher where your first class is if you have trouble with that, then sit down in a seat when the class fills up, find someone you think looks like a good friend and smile at them, then say hi when you get a chance! as them if they have your lunch or any of your same classes and if they do say something like oh cool! so i see a familar face in there! or ill see someone i know! we should sit together! repeat that process a few times in the day! the KEY thing to making new friends is being YOURSELF and funny and niicee.. dont talk about drama, ask about their life! their family, where they grew up, and if they play any sports. they share some of your life! i would suggest being nice in friendly, just try making converstation with someone in your advisment or some of your classes. maybe ask them how they're liking their first day and keep talking from there. im sure you'll be fine good luck :)
