What are some ideas for a presentation?

I need some ideas for a class presentation. any ideas?

  • It is a group project. We are looking up information on an anabaptist group called the Mennonites from the Protestant Reformation. It is really boring and we have to present this to our class in about a five minute time span, so do you have any suggestions to make it more interesting than your average speech? thanks!

  • Answer:

Maybe you could act out a short scene having to do with your topic. Keep it brief (about one minute or so) so that others have time to present, too. Here are some tips for a successful skit: 1. Make sure there is a problem involved. The Protestant Reformation had lots of problems involved in it, so finding one shouldn't be too much trouble. 2. Get creative. Make costumes (not extravagant ones--a hat or a bonnet should be fine), and try to make each character an individual. 3. Introduce yourselves by your made-up historical names. If possible, research what the Mennonites liked to name their children, so you sound as accurate as possible. 4. Make sure the skit sticks to your topic, and doesn't wander too much. Divide up the work that will need to be put into this project evenly, so that everyone has a fair share. Try not to give anyone more or less work than someone else; this will usually result in someone feeling angry, underestimated, or overwhelmed. Best of luck, and have fun! :)
