What's the best backpack for school?

BACKPACK STOLEN PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!?

  • ok. so my friend is in middle school and her school was stolen. she had everything in there 3 books pencils pens $40 caculator and her phone and the rest is just whatever stuff... . anywho. the problem is that the books are about 90 bucks each and they told her that if she don't find the books she got to pay them. NOW here's whats weird the backpack was not lost or stolen b/c she was distracted. It was lost when her class was going somewhere in the school and were asked to leave their backpacks their. there was a guy responsible for them but he's saying that he don't know anything. I told them (mom and girl) that they should report that to the police and they should not pay anything since it was the school's responsibility! am i right? please help. what should she do?

could report the theft to campus police, but not sure what good it would do. I don't think there is anyway for the school to force her to pay for the books. They will threaten and such and talk about not giving out grades, but in most states, they can't deny you grade reports because of unpaid fines/books.
