Does your school have 8th grade trips?

Does algebra 1 in 8th grade count toward high school graduation in NH?

• My school wont let me graduate if I dont take another math course, they claim that they wont let me graduate unless i have taken another year of math. I have had 3 years of math including the high school algebra 1 course that i took in middle school. At the time my school told me it would count toward graduation. I didnt take a math course last year because I figured i would be all set. At the end of the last year my school told me my algebra 1 course was no longer going to count toward my graduation and that i was going to have to take another math course my senior year. The only problem is I have taken a year off from math, and i am no longer capable of taking a Pre-calc class. My school wouldnt let me take a lesser math remedial math course. I feel as if my school is being to demanding so i want to know if the NH education board counts the algebra 1 in 8th grade toward graduation. And if so...can I sue my school for my diploma and emotional distress causes?

  I'm not too sure about New Hampshire, but in North Carolina, when I took Algebra I as an 8th grader, it didn't count as a math class towards graduation. Did the school just say that you couldn't take Pre-Cal, or do you just feel like not taking it?
