Should I take the PSAT as a sophomore?

• Im a sophomore in high school and just got my PSAT scores back, i got a 36 in reading, 41 in math, and 43 in writing. My total was 120. I know thats bad but i didnt really try, it was my first time taking it and i am sure to improve my next , next one is the SAT. I am getting good grades in high school, im going to tell you guys my grades in freshman year and so far at the end of the semester in my sophomore year. By the way, the PSAT was reallly hard for me, i didnt know what half the words meant. Freshman year: Global Issues: A Wood Shop: A Algebra-1: A Biology: B English-1: A P.E.: A Tell me what you think of my grades in my freshman year, it was my first year in a public school and was very hard for me to get used to. I didnt even know what honors classes were and was clueless, i signed up on the last day of registration, the day before freshman first day. I came home that day crying asking to leave, but my mom told me that it was good i was making a change and that showed im brave and so i stayed. I had a decent year, i knew that sophomore year would be better because i would get used to the people and the environment. I signed up for Honors English and Honors Geometry since i know im good in math. My private school, screwed me over, i wish i was in algebra 2 right now but i guess ill take it over the summer. Anyways these are my current grades with 2 weeks left since the final semester 1 grades are put in, this is sophomore year. Sophomore Year (2 weeks til the end of Semester 1) Honors English 2: B+ Honors Geometry: B+ World Civilization: A Chemistry:A P.E: A 3D-Design: A I am so close to those A's on both my honors classes, i was very scared on taking those two classes because i didnt know how hard they would be in the summer when i applied for them, i am a very respectful and i pay attention in class. With these grades and the courage to tae even more advanced classes next year, what do you guys project of me? Do you guys think im headed in the right track? Im planning on doing Extra Curricular stuff and have a plan to join ASB, is that important? Well i appreciate it if you guys can comment, as you can see i wrote a lot, im 15. Should i be a dentist, do they make a lot of money? . Tell me where im heading in life and tell me what happened in your life and what you did din high school. What colleges can i be heading to?   Your Sophomore grades look good. But don't overload on AP classes. Two per semester leaves you enough time to have a life other than just studying. SAT scores are important but not all colleges and universities require them any more; they have decided that your HS GPA is a better indicator of how well you will do in college than SAT scores. Extracurricular is important because colleges want to know what you've done besides just study. But you don't have to be in a dozen of them. Sincere participation in one from now through senior year will do it. Don't be worrying about which college to go to yet. You can start doing that in 2nd semester of Junior year.
