How to avoid drama at school?

I'm homeschooled and thinking of going back to public school. I left because of all the drama. Now my mom wants me to go back. I haven't been to public school in 5 years. I'll probably go back in 10th grade. How can I avoid drama? When I'm at classes and such I like to focus on the work and try to avoid the drama. At the school I'm going to, it's Next to impossible to avoid drama. I don't have any non-drama options for school. My mom encourages me to be in the middle of the drama because she was a drama queen at her school. I can't Stand drama. She's trying to put me in a school where most of the girls get pregnant before the end of highschool. I don't want to be around that. Help?

You can for sure avoid drama if you want. I went to high school and got really good true friends and avoided drama. It's sort of hard to jump right into the "cliques" or whatever. Just don't worry about it and hang out with the real people.
