How do I withdrawal from a community college?

How does community college work?

  • ok im 17 and i messed up big time and i dropped out of high school and its not an option to go back. im actually very smart, im going to get my G.E.D and i think that sounds bad but my counselor says its not as bad as it sounds. she says i can get it, go to community college for 2 years and can continue on to a 4 year college. that sounds great but i dont know how that will work. do i go to community college for 2 years, and get my associates degree, i think. Then continue to a 4 year college for 2 more years, and get my bachelors degree(i think). is this right or not? it makes sense to go to community college for the first 2 years anyways because its cheaper and its basically the same as the first 2 years at a normal college. my brother goes to a big college and he says its been worthless so far anyways.

That is basically how it works. You don't even have to get your associate's degree from the community college - just take as many basics as you can and keep your GPA (grade point average) as high as possible while you wait to be accepted into a four-year college. University classes may seem worthless, and many of them are, but these days a Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement to even be considered for most jobs. Hiring managers will just throw your resumes or applications in the trash if you don't have that precious piece of paper. So you and your brother need to just stick it out and keep plugging away. It will eventually be time well spent.
