Will I get into an Ivy League school?

Answer:
Not all that likely unless you really have something that makes you stand out that you haven't mentioned. Maybe one of the lesser Ivies, definitely worth a shot. Go by your unweighted GPA, even if you are in an extremely rigorous private school. The colleges will consider that, but you won't get much of a bump. 25% of Harvard admits scored over 2350 on their SAT, and 85% of applicants are qualified, but only 6% are admitted. Other Ivies are similar, but there are some with higher admit rates. Check their websites for your best bet. You don't mention too much detail, so it's really hard to know, but from what you have written, I don't see a Passion, you don't mention how your extracurriculars have Focus and Depth in that Passion. They don't want scattered. What are you an expert in? The Ivies want experts, they want a well rounded student body, not so much well rounded students. Do you have any state or national awards or something similar? How are your AP test scores? Ask your high school counselor for advice on being admitted into an Ivy, they should be able to look at your resume and give you some ideas on how to spin it. My dh participates in the admissions process of his Ivy alma mater, and we have a kid in high school, so I'm aware of how it works. Good luck!
