How to write a cover letter and my resume?

I have to write a cover letter for a resume for school....help? :(?

  • I am taking a business communication classs this summer and our teacher told us to do a resume, then she told us to write a cover page for it. The resume i wrote is a chronological resume and i need to write a cover page for it but i got no idea as to what i should write. can anyone give me any ideas as to what i should put there? thanks in advance

    summarise your good points maybe you are organised, a good leader etc.... your hobbies and enjoymets, music, sport etc... what you hope to get out of your year, new skills, confidence etc... refer to things in your resume if you like but don't go into any detail it should be about 3/4 of a page typed with addresses and letter headings
