Why do I get so homesick?

I get homesick ? going away to London?

    Yeah, I'm the same, and I'm almost 16 =\ . Unfortunately, there are no magic ways to make yourself feel better, but I keeping busy always helps me. The other thing that helps for me is to remember that nothing bad will happen while you are away - don't listen to the voices that say everything's going to go wrong, they're lying! ;) Stay near your close friends, and try not to over-think. Sometimes telling riddles helps, or just giving friends hugs will make you feel better. If you've got a cell phone, you could text your parents, if your school will allow it, or if not, you could talk to your teachers and see if they will let you text your parents at night time. It will get better - I'm now comfortable staying home alone over the weekend, and have survived 3 school camps - I even really enjoyed one of them. =) Good luck, and I hope have heaps of fun - I wish I could go to London! =D
