How is Pennsylvania's school system?

Which is better to have a mid year grade ranking system in a school or a quarterly ranking system?

• Currently in my school which is ranked in one of the top in the nation there is a mid-year ranking system or where the grades get ranked each semester. Here are the benefits to the quarterly ranking system: One will help the seniors make the best college choices because they will have the most current school rank 2nd, this will just give kids an academic edge over the slackers in Senior year and lastly all the other top schools report this way so why should we be different. Also this will give colleges the most current update info on the student so they can have consistent performance or show improvement. This will also improve my school's rank because it will show that my school is putting greater efforts toward helping the students. I just want to know which one everybody thinks is better? You don't have to answer this question. If the quarterly ranking system is better than how would I go about changing it?

  Rank doesn't matter. It's the student and what he does. Worry about your school work.
