What to do about my civics teacher?
-
i am a freshman in high school and i have a huge problem with my geography/civics teacher. she is just way to firm with everybody in the classroom. she has (in my opinion) everything in her class so structured and done in a professional manner. and the worst part treats us like she is a queen and we are just garbage. here are some examples of what she does that is very irritating to me: she is now making us stand up in order for us to ask questions. if one or just a few people are talking when she is talking she makes us stay after the bell a few minutes each time!! one time i pretty much missed the bus because of her issues. which i was SUPER pi**d off about! and she thinks she always needs to pull me into the hall to talk to her about what is "going on with me" and to have me try to solve her problems with me! i really don't know what to do. can someone help me out?? i am very upset and i know if may seem like i am making a big deal about this but really i am not. i just need anybody's thoughts and advice about this. should i speak to her alone?? or should i just let it go?? please help! and be kind about it. she is way to firm for words! thank you!

She sounds great to me. Toe the line and you will be fine.
I think you'll just have to tough it out. Teachers have different ways of doing things, and you just have to go along with it. It doesn't sound like she's doing anything out of line. However, you should explain to her that you might miss your bus if she keeps you after school too late. Tell her what time you absolutely must go and ask to be let out by then. Try to be polite, and if she says no, just say "okay" and then talk to your principal about it.
Always speak with your parents and explain to them, then whatever your parents decide to what is your best course of action then do it
