Can I get my high school diploma with Florida virtual school?

I was wondering if I'm still able to get my High School Diploma (I live in florida)?

  • Hi, I was supposed to graduate in 2008, but because I missed some school in 2007 (I was in Rehab), so I was short 2 1/2 Credits of Graduating. I was pregnant and took off a while from attempting to get my Diploma, and now I'd really like to try, but A Previous Counselor I wrote, said that It was too late for me to try and get my Diploma and now I could only go for me GED. My Question is, Is this true? Is there a time limit to get your diploma and if not, then you have to go for your GED? Thank you so much for taking your time to respond! - Stephanie.

    Check out adult education programs in your school district. I don't think that it would take very long since you have that many credits.

I cannot be sure about a time limit, but at this point it would be better for you to receive your GED instead of re-entering back in high school. Re-entering back into high school will create of lot of problems among the school system and other red tape, so getting a GED would be much more efficient.
