Whats the process to getting a high school diploma?

like when i finish high school what does the school do? do tthey send my report cards to some place and than the place gives me the diploma? if i went to a privet school for 2 years and than switched to pubilc in senior year will they ask the school for the report card even though they already have it in a file (from when i registered to the public school) please answere if you know its importent

When you finish your senior year at the public HS with passing grades/have all credits then you will be able to graduate from HS and get your diploma during the graduation ceremony. From a private HS to a public HS - the private HS would have to send your grades to the public HS.
