Can aqa exam results be transferred to the edexcel board?

Finished AS levels and changing exam boards for A2's..Please help?

  • I've just completed my AS's and as I'm unhappy at my new school I am returning to my old school to carry on my A2's. The only problem is that I have to 'cash in' my AS's and change exam boards for A2's from AQA and OCR to edexcel. My GCSE's were edexcel, so I do have experience with the board and my subjects are sciences so the AS's aren't too difference. So I'm wondering, does anyone know how the cashing in process works? I'm scared by doing this there's a chance my results will be changed. Also do the A2 papers include AS material that I will need to learn? Or is it a whole new topic kind of thing? Thank you and I'd really appreciate any help x

I'm in the middle of doing the same thing! I'm transferring from AQA chemistry to WJEC chemistry in a different school. The teachers at the school i will be going to have told me that having one exam board for AS level and a different exam board for A2 doesn't make a difference as you've still achieved the AS level in that subject. I think you'll also find that all exam boards are quite similar in the topics for each subject. I purchased an AS and A2 level CGP revision guide that covered all the exam boards, on each topic it informs you of which exam board requires that work, i found they are pretty much the same. If you're still not sure, my advice is to ask the subject teachers and the head of form. Good luck :]
