How much does Boarding school cost?

  • I'm 13 years old (and in 8th grade this year)I really want to go to boarding school for high school. I have found some great ones but they are all sooo expensive, even with a financial aid. So i was wondering how much a boarding school normally costs, and is it worth the cost? I really love school as it is and i want to go to boarding school because i want to try new things and learn more. I havnt asked my parents yet but thats a whole other story... Also, I would be soo thankful if you knew of, or could find any schools in California that arent too expensive! Thanks a ton :)

alright im 18 i went to boarding school and it was amazing and its totally worth the cost! but i went when i was 15 and thats still pretty young to be away froom home ur a lil young i think maybe try aa non boarding school 4 ur 1rst year cause sometimes ssome ppl arent mean 4 boarding schools GOOD LUCK

Boarding school is very expensive. Some schools offer scholarships, but others do not. It depends on which school you want to attend. If you choose to attend boarding school, you and your parents are probably going to have to take out some heavy loans; scholarships and financial aid rarely cover everything. That said, if you really want to go to boarding school, you're okay with taking out loans, and you have the grades to get in, it can be a worthwhile investment. There are a lot of opportunities you just don't get at day schools. Good luck with whatever you choose.
