How do i get motivated to do school work?
-
Im a sophomore in highschool this year... and my parents MAKE me take honors classes, and AP history.. i am probably the most un-motivated, lazy person there is. I have all c's in my classes and an f in spanish. school started on august 9th and I already have 3 un-excused absenses and 12 tardies.. i copy my homework off my friends before school, and i honestly dont care at all. What can i do to fix this? I thought about my future, but it doesnt realy do anything. my parents promise me stuff if i get straight a's... but i could care less. how the hell do i fix this?

Answer:
Go to your local homeless shelter and see how people with no education and jobs exist. You can't call it living. This should be an incentive to get an education. People like you make me angry. I did homework until midnight as I had chores, got up at 6am to ride the bus to school, until I was 16 and old enough to be hired at a regular job, I ironed baskets of clothes to earn money for clothes and shoes for school, got a small scholarship and worked while going to college. I bused tables, worked in the school cafeteria, refiled books in the library and cleaned offices at night. I am very proud of my accomplishments and my education. I am now semi-retired and look forward to full retirement with a good pension that I earned! You need an attitude adjustment that can be done in a boot camp. I wish I know your parents and could suggest they send you to one.

Honestly, a huge help is disabling Facebook or other social sites until either the grades come back up or only access on weekends. Also turning off your phone during school/studying/homework. Ask your teachers for some help on organizing and staying on track. May even find someone (senior?) to tutor you.
I know where you're at im a junior now and I was just like you last year my parents suprised me with a 79 camaro if I get good grades not to mention your insurance company and if you want a job then your employer will love you with b's or higher. Trust me it makes your life so much easier if you do better. A friend of mine also helped me. He never cared and he graduated at 20. He can't get a job and is about to be kicked out of his house. Just set time aside to atleast study so you know how to do stuff in tests even if you do copy homework.
