What does it take to be a civil engineer?

What subjects should i take if i want to be a software engineer?

  • I'm still in high school, and next year i'm changing my subjects, which subjects should i take? I want to study in technology and stuff, and i'm going to take physics next year but do i have to take chemistry? and i'm also interested in learning about human biology, because i find it interesting. But at the same time i'm going to take a few business subjects, like economics and accounting or commerce. I'm also interestedin learning about cars

  • Answer:

To be a computer Sc you must be strong in math, take as many math classes as you can, also advanced math if possible. Chemistry is not necessary for computer sc. If you can take an e-commerce class that might help you, physics always helps...other than that just take classes that you enjoy!

take the highest level math available, physics, computer workshops - those you will definitely need for software engineering. the maths will also help you do econ. if you are interested in biology, take that course - you will be rewarded by learning what you like and also your university will see that you have a diversity of interests. chemistry you don't need to take if you aren't planning on studying medicine or biology in uni, but chemistry is actually quite easy and very useful - it will help you in your physics and biol classes, and if you are good at math and bio then chemistry should be a breeze for you. plus the experiments are fun :)
