Can you help with my GCSE french coursework?

Ideas/Help with the Introduction of a "Narrative Writing Story" for English GCSE Coursework?

  • Basically, for part of my GCSE coursework for English class, we need to produce a piece of narrative writing. The only problem I have is STARTING the actual story. Once I get going, I will be able to do it. We have to base it on a "spinoff" of "Of Mice And Men", so I chose to do Crooks' childhood (don't stop reading if you haven't read Of Mice And Men.) In the introduction, we have to include (to get a C-A grade): - Short sentences for effect. - Figurative Language. - Patehtic Fallacy (using weather to hint something in story) - Correct puntuation, obviously. - Use of complex, compound and simple sentences. - Showing not telling - Use of senses ETC.. I want to introduce it with a black boy called Crooks playing football on a hot summers day. This is just for the introduction, so I wanted to kind of introduce the setting and weather and everything. Any ideas? PS: This isn't one of those questions where I'm asking you TO DO my homework. I'm just asking for some ideas.
